For the past 26 years, I have had the privilege of coaching kids in some capacity, and have spent the last 10 years coaching competitive softball and working with some truly remarkable young women. Throughout my career, I have always believed that the best thing you can do with your life is to make a difference in the life of a child. That belief has guided me every day on and off the field, and it’s why I am starting this scholarship fund.
Recently, I was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma. While this news has brought many challenges, it has also strengthened my resolve to leave a lasting legacy. I want this scholarship to support high school girls of great character who have played softball and are now pursuing their dreams in college or trade school. The funds raised will be awarded based on what the fund allows and can be used for any education-related expenses, including tuition, books, housing, meal plans, tutors, laptops, and tablets.
Many of you have asked how you can best support me through my cancer diagnosis. This scholarship is a very important part of the legacy I hope to leave behind, allowing me to continue making a difference in the lives of young people for years to come. I would truly appreciate your generosity and support in this endeavor. Thank you so much in advance for your help.
