Legacy of Love, Laughter, and Memes
For Mandy Starkey-Carson
AKA ClosetGluttony and NinJa
The world lost a beautiful soul last night. If you had a funny bone, she likely tickled it. If you needed a listening ear, she likely provided it. And if you needed a great friend, she definitely was it. No one could insult you and make you laugh at the same time like our beloved Mandy. The out of context screen shots, the cat memes, the laughter...so.much.laughter will live on. You rarely walked away from Mandy without her leaving something in your head to laugh over. She was truly one of a kind.
Last night that beautiful light was put out forever by a drunk driver.
Her girls will have a tough road ahead. Therapy and more therapy. The little one was lucid through the entire ordeal. This is intended to be a memorial fund for her girls. She loved them dearly. This is a way to honor her. Please help if you can,

Who am I?
My name Carli Karluk. In 2010, I started a BST board called MJ Addicts, Besides daily buying and selling of Matilda Jane Clothing, we started to make friends and build a community of friends.
I met Mandy Starkey-Carson in the early days. She was known then as 'Closet Gluttony Mandy Starkey-Carson.' We slowly evolved to friends, then great friends. At some point I talked her into helping me mod two facebook boards (Mj Addicts and reDressed, she loved our boards!) that combined, handle over 50k members. She was a great admin. She was hilarious and smart and witty and could make anyone laugh.
So many people we talk to every. single. day become more than friends, we start to feel like family. We start meeting up and letting our kids hang out together. We take crazy trips to Ft Wayne and line up outside a warehouse all night long for kid's clothing. We go on cruises, we even visit other countries..we start staying at each others homes. We become so very close. We start to feel like family,
Mandy was part of my tribe. She would be there for me no matter what. I love her dearly and she's left a void that will never be filled. We used to joke around that we 'tolerated' Mandy. Someone (you know who you are) wrote something that summed it up perfectly.
'We lied. We didn't tolerate you. You are our glue. Now what?'
So now what? We're going to be there for her girls. We couldn't live with ourselves if we were not. Mandy spoke often about how close she is with her mom, Mrs. Cheryle Bundy. She has given her blessing for this fundraiser. All monies raised will go to Mandy's mother.
We are so grateful that so many have donated.
Thank you, Carli
