Legacy is more than a dance production. It is a tribute to a lifetime of artistry, culture, and community. This four-day performance honours our esteemed guru, Dr Chandrabhanu OAM, founder of the Bharatalaya Academy in 1973, and celebrates renowned vocalist and composer Krushna Chandra Ray on the occasion of his 60th birthday

Through Legacy, we come together to honour their extraordinary contributions to Odissi Dance and Music. With four performances and a community of over 1000 people, this production is a labour of love performed by dancers deeply connected to this art form.

To bring this vision to life, we need support for essential costs including theatre hire, production, and bringing a live orchestra from Orissa. Creating something truly meaningful in the arts is not easy, and it is only possible through the generosity of our community.
