Legacy Fund for the children of David R. Hetrick
Donation protected
Suddenly and tragically my youngest brother David R. Hetrick passed away on Thursday evening (January 10, 2019) surrounded by family. Our hearts are broken, and life will never be the same without David.
David was a profoundly kind person, gentle soul, very gifted artist, businessman, great friend, devoted & beloved son and an incredible and proud father of three beautiful children who he raised as a single father for most of their lives. David has hundreds of friends and family throughout the United States and all around the world.
As an organ donor David’s legacy will live on and help others, saving many lives. This was an incredible and generous gift for David to leave behind and we are comforted knowing that David’s light will live on in many.
David was 51 years old and spent the last many years living in Tampa. David was raised in Delran, NJ and was a graduate of Delran High School, class of 1985. David went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and then pursued post-graduate work from the Philadelphia College of Art. David was the founder of Exterior Concepts in Tampa, FL and ran that company for many years where he created hundreds of custom outdoor living spaces using his unique blend of artistry and carpentry.
David loved spending time fishing, snow skiing, water skiing, canoeing, riding his classic Harley and kayaking with his children, family and many, many close friends. He was passionate about music and had an extensive vinyl record collection. He was always willing to provide support & lend his time and talents to family, friends, strangers and many business associates.
Unfortunately, David’s sudden passing did not allow him to prepare for the financial legacy that we know he would have wished for his children. For that reason, as a family we have decided to start this GoFundMe campaign. While no amount of money will ever replace David’s physical presence, support, guidance and wisdom it is our hope that eliminating the immediate financial stress of David’s passing will help the children begin to heal and continue to focus on completing school.
Please consider helping David’s children if you can. All funds raised will be distributed directly to David’s children to allow them to complete school and move forward in life without his physical presence and support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you may be able to lend.
GoFundMe has asked that I provide some more details about myself, where I am from, my relationship to David's children, and how the funds will be used. I am Craig Beringer, David Hetrick's step-brother. I am originally from New Jersey and I currently reside in Vero Beach, FL. I am raising these funds for my niece Brooklyn and two nephews Cole and Francis. The funds will be used to assist them with the immediate financial stress of David’s passing so they can continue to focus on completing their education.
