Rebecca (Becky) Sandford Morgan passed away from cancer on April 28th, 2021 after battling cancer for such a long time. She was a true warrior, fighting this disease for 6 years.
We will miss Becky greatly. In honor of her, her friends would like to raise money to purchase either a flowering tree or bench to be donated in a special place in Glastonbury CT, her hometown. Our hopes are that families can come and sit under this special memorial and friends and family can gather there to remember her. Depending how much money is collected, this will determine which type of memorial can be purchased. If there happens to be more than enough for one memorial, the additional money will go towards an education fund for Becky’s beautiful children- Gillian, Marlowe, Fitz.
While growing up in Glastonbury, CT, Becky attended Eastbury School and went on through the years to attend various local and northeastern schools. She graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1997 then attended Boston College and moved onto studying at University of California at their Davis campus.
Becky was so brilliant yet such a low key woman. She graduated with high honors from GHS, the highest honors from Boston College, and studied and received her PhD from UC Davis. Yet, with all this knowledge, she was never boastful, always down to earth, and made those who came in contact with her feel at ease while being in her presence.
Becky had a passion for life. She had so much to share with the world including her love for family, UCONN Women’s Basketball, New Kid On The Block musical group, softball, animals-especially cats, and her love for her family’s lake house up in the woods of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
