Legacies: Giving Back to Lisa Null

Dear friends of Lisa Null (also known as Elisabeth Higgins Null),

This note comes to you from Lisa's friends, Sally Rogers, Jackie Reizes, and musical partner Bill Shute. We are reaching out to you, members of the folk community, voice students, beneficiaries of Lisa’s work as an editor, fans of Green Linnet, Zoom session participants, and others near and far. We are kicking off a campaign to assist Lisa as she faces immediate challenges pertaining to her medical care expenses. Your help is needed now! PLEASE SHARE THIS LINK WITH ANYONE WHO KNOWS LISA.

 

Lisa has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer, a diagnosis she is

facing with the ferocity and inspiring energy no one who knows Lisa

well will find surprising. Much as we wish it weren’t so, Lisa’s life

expectancy is limited, and she is challenged by expenses, which cannot

be met unless she gets financial support from her caring community.

The GOFUNDME we are setting up will fund physical and occupational

therapy. It will help with supplies, services, and additional supports.

Lisa’s quality of life will be enhanced through our contributions.

 

Aside from her other challenges, Lisa is legally blind; our contributions will enable her to participate as fully as possible in the offerings of the care environment in which she finds herself being treated and where she expects to spend the time that remains. Audio and visual services and equipment, including subscriptions, will make a huge difference in her day-to-day existence.

 

Please give generously so that Lisa can live a life that is marked by as much grace, joy, mobility, social interaction, and intellectual and spiritual/artistic richness as is possible.
