Hi folks. Patricia (Pat) Walsh of Raton, NM here to request your help with Lefty. This sweet and beautiful ginger cat was apparently dumped at Sugarite Canyon State Park. A few weeks back, a camper saw he had a mangled left paw. Park employees finally trapped him on Nov. 15, and I got him to Vet Kristi Brown of Raton Veterinary Hospital. She found large puncture wounds and many broken bones (see photos). She felt the best option was to amputate his left leg. He's doing great! But the surgery plus his two-week recovery at the vet's will be a total of $1,279. I'm willing to chip in some, but I could really use help, thus the GoFundMe. Also, at some point Lefty will need a loving, INDOOR home. Please pass the word!
