Good afternoon family and friends! Some of you may or may not know but my mom has been battling heart failure. She is currently on a home infusion pump which is last line medication (dobutamine). Recently her diagnosis has become to the point of where she will have to receive a heart pump (LVAD) at the Medical University in Charleston SC. Being a graduate student there is not much I can do financially for her at the moment expect making sure she is compliant with her current medications. July 27th (planning ) she will have surgery and then be placed into ICU for 2 weeks and then main floor for 2 weeks and then an extended stay for 6 weeks. Our issue as a family is being able to afford the extended stay. Thank you again for taking the time to read our story.
