Sept. 4th 2021 I broke my ankle and that was the start of this nightmare.Sept 20th I had rods and screw placed to stabilize my ankle but during surgery I suffered a stroke. Sept, 29th I find out the hardware is infected and has to be removed. Emergency surgery to remove the hardware on Oct. 2nd Nov 19th I have an external fixator placed on my leg to support the ankle. The fixator didn't work and was removed Jan 2022. Seeking a 2nd opinion the orthopedic doctor finds I still have 3 fractures in my ankle and the infection has spread to the bone and traveled up my leg. I had to have a below the knee amputation to save my leg and possibly my life from the infection spreading all over my body. So Apr 22nd I had my left leg amputated praise God the infection hadn't spread.after a month in the hospital the fight will continue so I can start a new life and walk again.. well that's what I hoped. My dr tried to set me up for rehab so I can began the process of walking again but my insurance company Humana denied my claim and my appeal for therapy and equipment to help my continue basic life because they deemed it medically unnecessary. So Humana refuses to pay anything to help me return to normal. My wife and family are burdened with having to help me with basic functions that we all do everyday. So I ask through the grace and favor of the almighty God you can find it in your heart to help me get back on my feet literally, because I refuse to let Humana tell me I can't walk again. I thank each and everyone of u and you are in my prayers and many blessings to you that finds it in you heart to assist my struggle because my God will not allow Humana to stricken me to a wheelchair forever because God will let me walk again..
