Leessa's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello my name is Danielle and I am asking for your help. My sister in love suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke on January 26, 2022. God saw forth to bring her through. Let me share Leessa's story on her behalf. On January 26th at around 7pm or so Leessa lost feeling in her right arm and immediately called sister/cousin Terina. Although Leessa called right back and told Terina I'm ok, Terina heard the call and followed her God given intuition and went to her aide. While driving to Leessa's home Terina dialed 911 and the Mobile Stroke unit headed to Leessa's home. If you know anything about strokes "TIME" is paramount to survival and rehabilitation. Once Leessa arrived at the St. Vincent Mercy Hospital it was discovered that she had a clot in her carotid artery and one in her brain which required emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, but soon after Leessa developed a bleed upon her brain and had to be placed in ICU on a ventilator. The awesome power of GOD along with the doctors and nurses began her treatment and road to recovery which has by no means been easy. Family and close friends have remained by her side through this entire ordeal. Leessa's road to recovery has come with a few challenges. Leessa worked as a bus driver and bus aide for Toledo Public Schools until this unfortunate attack on her body. We need help in maintaining her health coverage and take care of some of her personal financial needs as she recovers. Emergencies aren't planned, they just happen and we are humbly asking for your help. We have an immediate need to pay her health insurance to maintain her current coverage. Leessa will be continuing her care here in Columbus, Ohio at Select Specialty. No donation is to small and on behalf of Leessa and the family we thank you so much and please feel free to share.
