Hey everyone thanks for visiting this fundraiser. Lee is a dear friend, brother, and son that is so treasured  amongst his community. He is someone that genuinely just makes everyone around him feel at home. He is grounding, peaceful, loving, generous and so kind. He’s someone that you always want there for all the adventures and life experiences. He’s someone you grow with and share with. He’s family and Lee is beloved by so many. All funds are directly transferred to lee to help with any medical expenses along this next chapter of his journey. Thank you so much for considering to contribute to lee’s fight. Lee Plummer is a man of many things, he is a strong lover of music, art, travel and people. He is an artist and a musician. He works for a company helping secure finances for small businesses, who he has been with for eight years and is a very well valued employee. He is the youngest of three, with both an older brother and sister, with three nephews and one niece. He is cherished by his parents, his cousins, his aunts, uncles and grandparents. They well know the light he is to the world having known him since the time he was born. Lee has brought nothing but love, light, beauty, and adventure into the lives of all those who know him, and have ever met him. Just through his presence he has built a community many can not fathom the existence of, with strength, love, support and team work. He is the epitome of grace, with compassion and forgiveness that expands the hearts of everyone he interacts with. Learning through Lee is relatable to reading a million books on spirituality, love and philosophy. He is the type of person the world needs to thrive, too grow, to change, the type of person we can not imagine the future without. 

On February 14, 2022 Lee went to Urgent care after a week of extreme headaches and sickness without relief. Within 24 hours Lee was in ICU due to the results of a CT scan that found a large mass on his brain. He remained positive and optimistic, even once the mass was discovered to be a tumor. On February 17th, Lee had emergency brain surgery, where 98% of the tumor was moved. After taking some time to heal he began a six week journey of chemo and radiation, and in all truth he handled like a champ, still laughing and loving and tending to the hearts in the world he created. Upon finishing his last round of radiation and chemo, the week of May 4th, Lee began feeling incredibly ill. For the following month he experienced extreme fatigue and intense nausea, with increasing symptoms. He returned to the hospital multiple times, being sent home after some medication for his symptoms, being told nothing was out of the ordinary. On May 26, he returned to the hospital once more due to a shortness of breath and decreased sensation in his legs. Again he was sent home. Thankfully his MRI had been moved to the following day due to the repeat hospital visits, at which point he was called to return. In good news the initial area where the cancer was found looks great, in bad news the cancer has spread to his meninges, the protective layer of the brain, and into his cerebral spinal fluid. This is referred to as Leptomeningeal Disease. If you make a quick google search you can easily be discouraged, but through deep research and talking to others who have been on this path, and walk this path, there is a way! 

Today on June 2nd, Lee has began his first day of his second six week round of radiation. Though he has a great medical team the truth is, he needs more than what one set of doctors can offer him. This is a rare type of cancer, yet there are many specialists that can provide resources, treatments, supplements, treatments that come from years of work and study from different angles. Lee is ready to fight this battle, and in order to do that we have to fight together which is why we bring this space to you and invite you to our fight. Our hope is to support Lee in his family in seeking out any type of treatment possible, even if it means travel. Lee is currently on leave from work, yet still has his own bills to pay. We do not know how much time we need to give to Lee in support of this journey, yet we want him to have the resources to go where ever he needs and be taken care of, all the way from having healthy food, to the best possible integrative treatment plan possible.

Hi everybody! I am creating this to start building funds for lee. I think I can safely say that we all want to do everything we can to help. I often have felt like I wish there was more I could do, so here we are.  Lee has been diagnosed (Feb, 2022) with a very aggressive brain cancer (GBM). There has been a lot of evolution around the types of treatment he can receive. Most coming from alternative medicines that are not covered by insurance. Long-term survivors of this condition have access to these alternative medicines and treatments throughout the rest of their lives.

Right now, this is set to private , meaning only people that receive this link directly can view it. Lee has given the blessing for this fund, within these conditions. It’s time we show up and show out for our boy.
