Leela’s TPLO Surgery

My best friends dog, Leela, is suffering from an orthopaedic injury, specifically a tearing of the of the CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) in both knees. Despite Leela being only four years old, she is in a lot of pain and has developed arthritis due to this injury.

Leela is unfortunately is required to have a surgery in order to prevent further injury. My friend, being in college, has little money to spare. At the moment, the surgery will take many months to pay off and will possibly send my friend into a large dept. We are hoping that compassionate dog lovers out there will help this young woman and little Leela through this expensive yet necessary procedure. The current estimate for the surgery is around $8,100 for one knee, if there are no complications. This doesn’t include transportation to the surgery which is three hours away from home, or pain medication afterwards. Please, if you have the means, every donation will help, with making this surgery more financially feasible for my best friend and her companion. Thank you for reading our story.
