Leelanau Montessori is a community-based school offering a unique educational opportunity to all families in Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties. Currently, we rely solely on state and federal funding to provide this exceptional educational experience to our students. These funding strategies do not meet the financial needs of our program and leave us reliant on legislative decisions and fluctuating student counts to meet our annual budget. Our Dollar a Day campaign focuses on the spirit of giving as part of a community and is intended to bridge the gap between the current state/federal funding allowances for our school and the finances necessary to create a high quality, educational experience for our school community. We are grateful for your help!
According to North American Montessori Teacher's Association (NAMTA), in general, median annual tuition by age level is as follows:
Independent Montessori Schools' Median Annual Tuition (According to NAMTA)
Toddlers up to >29 hours/week: $9,302
Ages 3 - 6 years (6 hours/day): $7,317
Ages 6 - 9 years: $8,550
Ages 9 - 12 years: $8,714
Leelanau Montessori Annual Tuition/State Aid Received
Toddlers (7 hours/day): $6,800
Ages 3 - 6 years (7 hours/day): $6,800
Ages 6 - 9 years: $7,026
Ages 9 - 12 years: $7,026
