Leeds Gymnastic Club - Equipment Fund Raiser
Donation protected
Leeds gymnastic club supports c.2,000 gymnasts ranging from the todders in pre-school, through to senior national squad gymnasts competing internationally. As a sport, gymnastics is expensive with a significant cost, the equipment. As the club is a not for profit community interest club, all money made is reinvested into the club.
In order to help the club, we are looking to raise as much money as we can on the back of me cycling Lands End to John O'Groats with a difference, I'm incorporating the extreme parts of the mainland UK to the South, East, West and North into the ride.
The first target is to raise £1.00 for each mile ridden, which is 1,400 miles.
I will be starting on Sunday 14/5 from Lands End taking in Lizard Point, 2 weeks later reaching Dunnet Head and John O'Groats on Sunday 26/5.
All the money raised will go towards the purchase of gym equipment. To give you an idea of the costs, a tumble track costs £21,000, a gym floor £30,000 with matting around key equipment £20,000.
Any donations you can give will be really appreciated by all 2,000 gymnasts.
