Leeds Gymnastics Club CIC - Heating Appeal
The Covid-19 virus has had a major impact on all our lives in ways we never could have imagined and we trust that everyone is keeping safe and looking forward to better times ahead.
The virus has had a detrimental impact on the financial position of our Community Interest Club, as we have now been closed since 20 March 2020 with no income. As we plan our opening and have been completing all our health and safety checks we have discovered that our elderly gym heaters have stopped working and we have been advised that they are beyond repair and need replacing. We need to take the opportunity to fix them, whilst the club is closed, to alleviate any downtime when we reopen. The cost will be over £12,500. Normally we are able to launch a fund raising appeal but currently we are unable to organise events. The knock-on effect will be that without this Go - Fund Me appeal we will be forced to use reserves earmarked for survival during this crisis.
We are conscious that we are asking people who have supported the club for many years, including current and past gymnasts / families that are no longer active within the club. However, these are unprecedented times and we are in need of your support to ensure we survive this period of closure and can reopen with our heating up and running.
