Hello for some that are aware my little boy

Vinnie was born on the 20th of February at just 30weeks via emergency c section. Once he was born he was diagnosed with SVT (Supraventricular tachycardia). His heart was beating upto 300 bpm and it stayed like this for hours no amount of medication was working to bring it back to a normal rhythm. Barnsely hospital then decided to blue light him to the LGI to receive specialist cardiac care. They managed to get his heart under control with medication after 48hours but by this point he was a very sick baby. He’d undergone multiple scans, tests and blood transfusions his body was starting to swell due to all the mediation he’d been given. They also found a bleed on his brain that they wanted to keep an eye on. He spent 4 weeks in the LGI where the staff were phenomenal and he started to get stronger by the day. On the 20th March he got moved back to Barnsely hospital where he was closer to home. He was doing really well the first few days until he started going back into SVT his heart beating upto 280bpm. Undergoing again many tests and scans he was given another medication to help control the electrical pathways in his heart. He was now on 2 medications for his heart. After a rocky week he was on the mend again. He came home on the 14th of April. So spent just under 8 weeks in hospital and was home a couple of weeks before his due date that should’ve been the 1st of May.

Since been home with Vinnie we’ve had lots of regular appointments and checks and he’s such a strong resilient little boy heading in the right direction in all aspects! He’s been through so much.

Leeds Hosptials Charity have a bear with Vinnie’s story as you may have seen us share before. They will be going to auction on the 28th of September and we’d love to raise as much money possible to try and win him his own best that he had created for him. Any donations big or small we’d be extremely grateful, all donations will go to Leeds Children’s Hospital Charity. If we’re unable to raise the amount the bear goes for at auction we will give all funds to the neonatal units that helped Vinnie.
