alternative pride is a more accessible, covid safer, pinkwashing free, cop free celebration of lgbtqia life and community, based on intersectional feminist and anarchist principles. pro liberation not corporation 

alternative pride will always be FREE to attend. last year the cost of running the event went way up and whilst i have offered to cover travel costs for performers and speakers, everyone since the first event in 2023 in the project has volunteered their time, energy and artistry for free

this year i would like to be able to pay performers in order to enable them to boycott pride events that are sponsored by companies bankrolling genocide and the climate crisis. i am a firm believer in mutual aid as opposed to sponsorship and funding, so i am tentatively reaching out to the local community (and anyone further afield who happens to be reading this) to humbly ask for donations to support local queer artists in their work and their right to boycott events that care more about profits than pride
