Sometimes music is the only thing that keeps you afloat.
For me, songwriting has been the rope I’ve held onto through the hardest seasons of my life; turning pain into art, confusion into clarity, and silence into healing.
To those who may not know me, my name is LeeAnn Raye Law.
I’m a singer-songwriter and music therapist from Louisiana (now living in the Boston area) and I am beyond excited to share that I’m finally recording my debut album! This project is shaped by the music I grew up on- the songs that told stories, made me feel seen, and stayed with me long after they ended; music that I hope will resonate deeply with anyone who has ever searched for healing, belonging, or hope.
Music has saved me more times than I can count. Since I wrote my first song at 13, it’s been my anchor through grief, change, and moments when I didn’t know what came next. Writing these songs has been more than just creating art. It’s been the process through which I’ve healed, grown, and learned to trust my own voice again.
As an independent artist early in my career and living in a time when recording and production costs are higher than ever, making an album is no small investment. That’s why I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and anyone who happens upon this page to ask for your support.
My goal is to raise $5,000 to cover the costs of recording, mixing and mastering and album art.
These costs include:
Studio time: $3,500
Visuals (album art, photography, video): $1,000
Miscellaneous Expenses: $500
This album is not just about me, it’s about giving back. For the rest of time, I will be donating a portion of all proceeds from this project (album sales, streaming royalties, ad revenue) to organizations that support the mental health of artists and musicians, especially those in underrepresented communities, such as Backline and Sweet Relief Music Fund. As both an artist and a music therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply mental health struggles can impact creativity, careers, and lives, and how access to support can change everything.
Your contribution will help me create this album and help provide ongoing mental health resources for artists who need it most.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my campaign. Any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, means the world to me. I can’t wait for ya'll to hear this music!
