Leea Fawn, Community Advocate. Two Sisters Estates
Those who know me personally may be a little surprised that I am actually going forward with this. Because like so many others who possess the innate and constant desire to serve, I tend to fall short when it comes to advocating for my own support, even when I need it most.
This campaign is an attempt to do so and was inspired just before I was about announce the closure of my business, Two Sisters Estate Sales LLC, a small liquidation firm that I purchased, on my own, five years ago, and has since developed into a full-service transition and relocation support network.
Two Sisters has always been available to assist anyone in need, regardless of their situation or ability to pay. Our team plays an active role in the community and works in partnership with local businesses and non-profit organizations to provide resources and create meaningful connection. We have hosted over a hundred sales events and coordinated charitable donations from each estate to countless charities and relief efforts across Arizona, including remote villages and tribal nations.
Even in a time of crisis, when the demand for our services increase, we made the decision to act responsibly, out of concern for the safety and well-being of our clients and community. All public sale events were cancelled and I issued full-refunds to our clients who had scheduled services in advance for the spring and summer months.
Unfortunately, I have not qualified or received any government assistance. I did my best to adapt and simplify our model and continued offering support over the phone. With the help of a team member, I redesigned the Two Sisters website to operate sales from an online consignment platform. It was exhausting and the learning curve was tremendous but my type-A heart and dedication to my clients and community allowed me to persevere. Until eventually the burden and financial strain became too difficult to bear.
As always with any death, it is in the moments before we lay something of significance to rest, that we reflect most deeply on it's value and relevance in our life. In the beginning, I viewed the business primarily as the opportunity to achieve financial security and provide more for my family. Today, my business encompasses a deeper, more personal purpose. It still begins with family, but even that has extended to include everyone who has been involved in the Two Sister's community.
Any contribution on your behalf, whether it is in the form of kind words and acknowledgement, financial assistance, or by sharing this campaign with others, will help me and my team recover from the losses and restore the powerful nature of our business.
However you choose to give, and at whatever capacity, know that it will be received and paid forward with lovingkindness and gratitude.
Thank you for your support and for granting me the opportunity to serve in a world where I can exist as my truest, most purposeful self.
