On the 20th June, for my 40th Birthday, I’m taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge—climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon—to raise money for prostate cancer research.
This challenge is personal. My dad is currently living with prostate cancer, and is what pushed me to do something meaningful. Prostate cancer affects so many men and their families, and research is vital to improving early diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.
I’ll also admit there’s another reason I’m doing this: Peak Fever. Any excuse to head for the hills, lace up my boots, and test myself physically—this just happens to be one that can genuinely make a difference.
Every donation, big or small, helps support life-saving research and brings us closer to better treatments and cures. Thank you for supporting me and for helping fight prostate cancer.
More information about Prostate Cancer UK: Prostate Cancer UK is here to stop prostate cancer being a killer. One man dies from prostate cancer every in the hour in the UK and deaths from prostate cancer are set to soar over the next decade. By finding better tests, better treatments, better prevention and better support we aim to dramatically reduce the number of men dying from prostate cancer.
