Hi,
My name is Melissa Scott. My story is this. I have a wonderful mom, Char Melton and a wonderful friend, Lee Anne Lehr. They both have something in common; they both have the biggest hearts that two people could ever have in a lifetime. They also both share a sickness that is called cancer. My Mom is my heart; she has always been my best friend. After 48 years I am still her baby. She started out with Lung Cancer in January 2016 and now has spread to 5 different areas making it stage 4. Unfortunately, she can't have any treatment. God has blessed me with a wonderful loving, caring, mother. Also, God has blessed my mom and I with a wonderful, caring & loving friend, Lee Anne Lehr. I met Lee Anne in my small antique store. I had just found out about my mom's sickness and was having a very, very hard time with the news. But God connected Lee Anne and I in my store that day. I felt like she was sent directly from heaven.
In September 2016, Lee Anne was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer. They also found tumors in her liver. She has had blood transfusions and is currently undergoing rounds of Chemo, and going through study treatments at Indiana University Simon Cancer Center. She is employed at Purdue but only able to work part-time, due to the cancer. She has a very loving family consisting of her husband, Scott Lehr, and their 13-year-old son, JT. Lee Anne is also supported by her wonderful mother, Bettie Cole, Her Father Bob Smith, Mother & Father In Laws Ron & Janet Lehr, Her Awesome Church Family at Grace & Mercy Ministries and many, many friends! One thing about Lee Anne is that she has an amazing faith in God. She knows and believes Jesus is going to heal her completely. She has so many people praying for her. God has already done several miracles for her. In her first round of chemo, the tumors have shrunk 18% and her cancer numbers went from 160 to 29. Thank you Jesus! I, my mom, and so so many people are blessed to call her a friend! I truly believe she is an answered prayer, and heaven sent. Anyone that knows Lee Anne, knows that it's never about her. She puts everyone else first always including the good Lord (Even now!) She is so caring and loving. My mom and I are asking you to please help, and bless this wonderful family. They have many medical bills. Please bless them. God will bless you richly. [PS 119: I love the Lord cause he heard my cry, he saved me from the snares of death} I also ask for prayers for both my loving mom, Char Melton and my loving friend, Lee Anne Lehr. Pray that God will comfort, provide peace, and bless both of them! You certainly cannot help Lee Anne battle cancer. Moreover, you cannot help the family overcome all of their financial burdens. However, this year you can wear the red costume, and be their Santa Klaus. It only takes a faint light to pierce through the darkness. Please BE THAT LIGHT!
