UPDATE: Current Goal for Iditarod 2022 is to raise an additional $4,000 for the Entry Fee - Leddy is officially qualified and set up to run in the 50th Anniversary Iditarod !
Hey everyone! We (Leddy and Elliot) are working on doing our qualifying races this season in order to run Iditarod 2022! Leddy is trying to run 3 races totalling 750+ miles and Elliot is trying to enter 1-2 races himself. Race entry fees are usually $500+ per musher per race, not including costs of meat, equipment, straw and other supplies for the dogs. The dogs we are racing are our beloved 2 year olds (the Disney litters) whom we have raised since birth!
For two years we have committed all our time to helping the dogs learn and grow - and we must say this cohort of pups is exceptional!! Mild mannered, smart, strong and incredibly sweet! We have begun leader training this Fall and we’re proud to say the majority of these 21 dogs have already shown amazing skills in leading 12-14 dog teams, we are SO PROUD of these pups. It is truly something special to raise a dog team from puppyhood into a team of race-ready professionals, we’d like to see these pups have a happy, healthy, and successful race season!
We’ve decided to host a “Sponsor a Pup” program where you can specifically sponsor one of the team members and get updates, pics, and even swag from your sponsored pup!! Below is a link to pics and bios of each of our babies. We’re setting a $100 minimum donation for sponsoring a dog, please comment which dog you’d like to sponsor (or contact Leddy!) - please include whether you'd like your name listed and how you'd like it spelled! Once a pup is sponsored, it’ll be updated here!

We really are not the kind of people to ask for financial help, but the upfront costs of these races are difficult to cover on a handler’s salary ($500/mo) so if you would like to support the dogs in any way we are very appreciative! The proceeds will go towards race entry fees (totalling ~$3,000), a new GPS unit, much needed winter gear (boots, parka, and layers), and checkpoint supplies (human foods, hot hands, first aid supplies, and extra warm layers/socks). We plan to send a care packet to anyone who helps support the team (any amount donated!) to show our thanks!
