In Loving Memory of
LEBOGANG BENEDICT RAMATEBELE
March 17, 1982 – August 12, 2025
With deep sorrow, we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of our beloved brother, friend, and son of the African community in Pittsburgh, Lebogang “Lebo” Benedict Ramatebele.
Lebo touched so many lives with his kindness, hard work, and gifted hands. He served faithfully as an EEG Technician at Allegheny General Hospital and UPMC, helping countless patients with care and compassion. Beyond the hospital, his creative spirit shined brightly at Aahmani Afrikan Braids, where his talent brought confidence, beauty, and joy to many.
Lebo’s sudden departure has left us shaken, and we are faced with the difficult task of returning him home to Botswana so his family may lay him to rest with dignity. Repatriation is a costly process, and we cannot do this alone.
We are reaching out to you — friends, family, co-workers, and community — to stand with us in this moment of grief. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help us cover the expenses to send Lebo back home and honor his memory the way he deserves.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor:
Friday, September 5th at 6:30PM
House of Transformation (HOT)
623 S Main Street, Pittsburgh PA 1520
Lebo was more than his work — he was a brother, a friend, and a light in our community. Let us come together to carry him home.
