Lebanon Relief: SAID NGO Fund for the Displaced

Our Story

SAID NGO was founded by Hana Nimer in 2016 with the mission to raise awareness and improve early detection of colorectal cancer. Since Is.rael’s war on Lebanon started on September 25th, SAID NGO have been dedicated to supporting the families who have fled their homes and are currently sheltering in schools, centres, abandoned buildings, parks and even sleeping on the streets.

For the past two weeks, Is.rael has been bombarding Lebanon on daily basis. More than 85,000 tons of explosives have been dropped over 247 towns and villages, killing more than 2,000 civilians and displacing more than 1.2 million - an alarming figure for a country with a population of just 5.5 million. Unfortunately, these numbers continue to rise day by day.

While the Lebanese government is overwhelmed and struggling to respond to this disaster, local organisations and other civil society actors are stepping up to provide essential aid.

Schools and community centres have opened their doors to shelter families and individuals, while local organisations, like SAID NGO, have been providing aid since the beginning of Israel’s heavy attacks. However, the reality on the ground is harrowing, and the need is enormous in a country in deep financial instability. There are still many people who remain without proper support—families who have found temporary shelter but face critical shortages, especially as winter approaches.

All proceeds from this campaign will go to SAID NGO, which is working on the ground for the past weeks to provide direct support to the victims. Their objective is to raise €10,000 to be able to reach out to those who are still in desperate need for food, water, baby milk, diapers, mattresses, blankets, medical care and hygiene supplies.

How will the fund be used ?

Food and Water: Supplying meals, clean drinking water, and infant formula.

Medical Care: Offering medical assistance through staff, vaccines and medications. Distributing first aid kits.

Clothing and Basic furniture: Distributing clothing, mattresses, blankets, pillows, tables and chairs.

Cleaning Materials and Hygiene Products: Providing women’s and mother’s needs as well as distributing essential cleaning supplies to prevent the spread of diseases.

Kids’ Education and Entertainment: Offering activities led by animators and providing materials for engaging kids in multidisciplinary learning. Distributing kids educational kits and activity books.

How will the beneficiary receive the funds?

The funds raised will be transferred to SAID NGO who will distribute them on the ground to the victims in dire need.

Members of SAID NGO will share updates and photos on their social media networks on the distribution of funds.
