On July 4 she was assaulted in her home. The assault was traumatic. She sustained blows to her chest and head while he made alarming threats to harm himself. Minutes before the attack she was able to get her daughter who has special needs out of the house with her mother, although the little one did not witness the assault, she has since lived through weeks of emotional instability from hearing the angry outbursts and changes in routine.

The assault has left her in a complicated situation economically and emotionally. The legal procedures are now advancing but the cost of representation, and recovery is overwhelming.

As the sole earner for the household and the primary caregiver for both her daughter and her mother, she is facing urgent financial strain while trying to keep the family safe and stable. His family has resources to support him; she has been left to carry the legal fees, ongoing therapy costs already underway, and basic living expenses during this period of transition and healing. This fundraiser will help cover those immediate needs so they can focus on healing and mental-health care, and rebuilding a secure routine.
