LearnInKIND Equity Tutoring
Donation protected
I created LearnInKIND to support students with their online and hybrid learning during this time with one-on-one and group tutoring. For every hour of paid tutoring, I will also tutor a student who cannot pay at no cost to their family. Naturally I am hoping this is an idea that goes well beyond me, and other tutors are joining LearnInKIND in this quest for educational equity. I am hopeful that similar organizations will set up this model all over because we know this is a massive issue.
I already have an overflowing list of families who cannot pay, I know I will be adding paying families as the school year draws closer and begins. However, it is vital for me to be able to confirm to families unable to pay -- and certainly with less options than paying families -- that we can support their kids starting Week 1 of school.
As I have shared my idea many friends and strangers have asked if they can contribute to help students get tutoring. Yes you can! $40 will provide an hour of tutoring for a student, but please feel free to contribute any amount.
