This was my first year teaching Transitional Kindergarten and it was as much of a learning experience for me as it was for my students.  As we are ending this schoolyear, I am preparing for the next school year.  I will have a TK class again next year, so I want to put together learning centers that will foster their development.  

One center I am looking forward to putting together is the listening center, where they can hear a story as they follow along.  I want to purchase a wireless classroom headphone set so my students are not playing with the cords.  This set is $200, plus $150 for the bluetooth cd/tape player.  

In addition, I would like to buy 3 phonics and 4 math centers that can be used to fortify the new concepts learned or used for intervention.  I am looking to buy sets that range from $30-$50.

Any money left over will be used for classroom supplies that are always needed, such as baby wipes, dry-erase markers, laminating pockets, and art supplies.  

These items are needed for my classroom before the new schoolyear begins, but the sooner, the better.  This way I can plan and set up the classroom in a timely manner.
