Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed—regardless of where they are born.
But for Fatima and her friends at the Government Girls Middle School in Shah Faisal, Karachi Pakistan, that opportunity is at risk. From crumbling infrastructure to inadequate learning materials, the school lacks basic necessities for a decent education. Students like Fatima struggle with math, science and reading but have no access to extra help or digital learning aids. Their potential is stifled by the stark realities of underfunding and neglect.
So we decided to take action. Our goal is to raise £3000 to provide critical educational support for 150 girls and boys at the school. Here is how we intend to make a difference:
£1000 to establish a small computer lab with 10 refurbished laptops with math and science simulation software. This will help bring their learning experience into the 21st century!
£2000 salaries visiting teachers/volunteers in arts, public speaking and creative writing to build well-rounded confidence.
