My name is Britney Seymour.
I’m a 26 year old from Nassau, Bahamas.
I am chasing my dream of restoring lives through physiotherapy and my passion in rehabilitation. It is a big dream for a young lady growing up in the Bahamas.
Through the support and sacrifice of my family back home, and my determination to persist and overcome the impossible, I have found myself closer and closer to becoming a qualified physiotherapist. I am now in Australia with close to 12 months left of studies at University of Melbourne. It's hard to believe it is within reach.
I am faced with the latest challenge of funding my current semester. I have been actively pursuing scholarships and it has carried my studies until now. My family and friends have helped financially which I am so grateful for but it has reached the point where I desperately need financial assistance to keep me enrolled and in Australia.
I am struggling to pay for my school fees and the university has now unerolled me which means I cannot sit the exams that I've been studying for since July.
This is an urgent request from those that believe in miracles. I am crazy enough to follow my heart of changing lives in my country and the world. I am doing my best to do what I can, working as many hours as I can get and my family are also doing all they can to support me but it is not enough.
The balance was $18K (Australian dollars) to fund this semester. I am asking for 180 friends to contribute $100. I know this is a big ask but I absolutely believe in miracles and I am stepping out in faith by being vulnerable and opening up. I hope this story has inspired you.
I humbly and sincerely ask you to consider making a contribution and share with as many of your contacts as possible. Your efforts would deeply be appreciated.
I have until the end of December, 2016 to pay up which the university will then allow me to sit the supplementary exams.
