As life during the coronavirus pandemic continues, in-person schooling and distance-learning has prompted many questions surrounding how to provide a quality education without sacrificing the safety of students, families, teachers, and school staff.
The education system plays a critical role in child development and the pandemic poses a risk to their education. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, more than nine million students lack access to the Internet. For these nine million students, learning has become inaccessible.
Internet access isn’t the only problem students and educators are facing. The rising need for additional school supplies, technology, PPE, and more has left many scrambling to afford the cost of these newfound challenges. If unaddressed, students will be at a higher risk for failing.
Together, as a community of donors, we can invest in our children’s future and help provide equal learning opportunities. Will you join our cause?

GoFundMe.org is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 81-2279757). Its mission is to provide fast and effective relief to victims of disaster, and to fund education and other charitable initiatives. In its first 5 years of operation, GoFundMe.org raised over $140 million, for distribution to vetted nonprofit organizations serving the same mission, and to verified individuals who are part of the charitable class. GoFundMe.org eliminates the paradox of choice for donors by providing one centralized place to give, knowing that those dollars are efficiently dispersed to the right organizations and people. Donations to this fund are tax-deductible to the extent permissible by law.
