Learning and Education Cause Fund

As life during the coronavirus pandemic continues, in-person schooling and distance-learning has prompted many questions surrounding how to provide a quality education without sacrificing the safety of students, families, teachers, and school staff.

The education system plays a critical role in child development and the pandemic poses a risk to their education. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, more than nine million students lack access to the Internet. For these nine million students, learning has become inaccessible.

Internet access isn’t the only problem students and educators are facing. The rising need for additional school supplies, technology, PPE, and more has left many scrambling to afford the cost of these newfound challenges.  If unaddressed, students will be at a higher risk for failing.

Together, as a community of donors, we can invest in our children’s future and help provide equal learning opportunities. Will you join our cause?

Who benefits from your donation?
GoFundMe.org will be granting the donations received for this cause to individuals and organizations who have created GoFundMe fundraisers for education and learning expenses (excluding personal school or educational expenses; excluding scholarships).

When you make a donation to the GoFundMe.org K-12 Classrooms cause, you help many individuals and organizations who have started fundraisers on GoFundMe® for school and educational expenses (excluding personal school or educational expenses; excluding scholarships). We hope this fund will help alleviate the challenges that result from educating our youth, especially during a pandemic.

We verify every fundraiser to which we give, ensuring that your donation goes where you intended. We will send you regular thank-you videos and updates about the individuals and organizations you’ve helped.

Am I eligible for a grant?
To qualify for this education expense grant, your GoFundMe fundraiser must benefit educational or learning programs related to public school below the collegiate level AND the organizer or the beneficiary must be a teacher, staff member, parent, or student.
