Leap of Faith: Skydive for Holy Family Mission
Hello friends, family, and all people of goodwill!
My name is Leigh, and I’m preparing to take a literal leap of faith—jumping out of a perfectly good airplane from 10,000 feet in the sky—all to support the life-changing mission of Holy Family Mission in Glencomeragh House, County Waterford.
If you’re not familiar with Holy Family Mission, let me tell you a little about what makes it so special. It’s a place where young Catholics come together to live in community, grow in their faith, and be formed for mission in the Church and the world. Through a rich rhythm of prayer, study, service, and evangelization, Holy Family Mission is raising up a new generation of joyful, missionary disciples who are ready to bring Christ’s love to others. I myself served as a missionary here, back in 2020! Holy Family Mission played a massive role in forming the man I am today, and I made some lifelong friends through it!
The impact this mission is having—on the hearts of young people, on the Church in Ireland, and on the wider world—is immense. But like all good things, it needs support to continue to grow and thrive. That’s where this skydive comes in.
On September 14th, I’ll be strapping on a parachute and diving from the clouds—not just for the adrenaline rush (though let’s be honest, it’s a bit of that too!)—but to raise funds that go directly toward supporting the work of Holy Family Mission. Every euro you donate will help provide accommodation, formation resources, meals, and more for the young people who commit a year or more of their lives to Christ through this beautiful mission.
Whether you can give €5, €50 or even just share this campaign with a friend, your support will be part of something eternal. Together, let’s lift Holy Family Mission higher than ever—starting with one big jump.
Please consider donating today and help us soar—not only through the skies but in faith, hope, and love.
God bless you,
Leigh Murphy
