Leap of Faith
2009 - 2019, 10 years of mission! For 10 incredible years Oriel Ministries has been impacting young people all across Cornwall and Devon. We have seen God move in such amazing ways and do unexplainable things over these last ten years that has allowed us to reach over 125,000 young people, and we really believe that what He has planned for Oriel Ministries is only just beginning.
God has blessed us with a fresh new building that we going to use to outpour God’s unconditional love to our local young people in need. There are so many new projects that we’ve been cooking in the background that we are really excited to see become a reality in 2019:
• Pulse Bus - We are going to build a youth bus that will go round to local towns and villages reaching the kids on the street to let them know that God has a plan, and a future, and a purpose for their lives.
• Future Teen Boys Events – Reaching out to the teen boys in similar ways we have been doing for the girls over the last 5 years with Innocence and StarGirlz.
• Innocence Girls Conference - Innocence is set to continue as our big annual teen girls event, showing them that they are truly ‘loved, accepted, free’ in Jesus.
• StarGirlz - StarGirlz will be carrying on in 2019 as we start to disciple the teen girls who make commitments at Innocence.
• LED Schools Work – By combining faith and music we bring a lively atmosphere to the classroom and inspire young people to reach their potential whilst having the confidence and knowledge in how to deal with some of life’s big issues.
• And much much more! is going to be an amazing year, but the preparation starts now. For our 10 year celebration we are aiming to raise £10,000 by March 1st, £1,000 for each year of mission. The money we raise will be used to make the visions we have for the Pulse Bus, Future Teen Boys Events, Innocence, StarGirlz, and L.E.D. Schools Work, become a reality that will change the shape of Cornwall and Devon.
My challenge for the 10 year celebration fundraising extravaganza is to take a literal leap of faith out of an airplane at 15,000 feet, free falling to the ground at 125mph! The idea of being sat in the open doorway of an airplane looking down at the ground from 15,00ft gives me chills, but to raise the money to enable us to reach more young people and impact there lives is totally worth it! My aim is to raise £3000 so that Oriel Ministries can continue to make an eternal impact on the NOW generation.
