We opened the door. Now we want to keep it open.

Nine years ago, Leap of Dance Academy began with five children in Lagos.

Today, we are training a growing community of young dancers from underserved backgrounds and creating opportunities that many of them never imagined were possible.

Our previous GoFundMe campaign had a clear purpose: to help Nigerian dancers access international opportunities. That goal has now been met. And we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us get there.

But opening the door for a few dancers has shown us something even more important:

There are many more children behind that door.

Our next chapter is about building a stronger, more sustainable pathway for them — quality ballet training, dancewear and pointe shoes, nutrition and wellbeing, studio improvements, scholarships and, when the opportunity comes, international training and performance opportunities.

We don’t want a child’s future in dance to depend on whether their family can afford it.

We want their discipline, potential, character and commitment to matter more than their circumstances.

So this campaign is no longer simply about getting dancers beyond Nigeria.

It is about building what makes that journey possible in the first place.

Every contribution helps us continue creating a space where talented young Nigerians can train seriously, dream boldly and earn opportunities they once thought were beyond their reach.

The door is open.

Now, let’s make sure more children can walk through it. ❤️
