LeAnne’s Leukemia Journey

Hi, my name is Jessilyn Wallace, momma to LeAnne Wallace ❤️

Let me start by talking about my amazing sweet daughter. LeAnne was born December 7 2008 and she gave me one hell of a ride during delivery. I knew then she was going to be my fighter, and that she has proven to be ever bit of ha!

LeAnne is one of the strongest, most determined, definitely OCD (she has already rearranged the decorations in her hospital room) , and crazy talented at whatever she put her mind too! She loves to play ALLLLL sports, and ride horses. As an 8th grader she made the varsity highschool lacrosse team. She also plays on the middle school lacrosse team, volleyball, basketball, track and soccer! I’m not kidding when I say this girl is freakin fast!! She has a natural ability to be good at whatever she puts her mind too ❤️!

4/8/2024 our world was bounced, thrown, spun around, and kicked to a whole new level. LeAnne had been loosing a lot of blood from her “womanly monthly thang” and started to look extremely pale. We were concerned but thought she would just bounce back after the period ended. Saturday evening she passed out and smacked her face against the wall leaving her with a pretty swollen lip. We ate dinner which seemed to really help and she went to bed. The next morning we were still pretty concerned so I took her to Urgent Care which immediately directed us to the ER. The ER did blood work and they then immediately got us on an ambulance headed to Reno. It seemed like I was stuck in an avalanche of bad news. The doctor told us she has leukemia and that we will be here for a while. The staff has been amazing at explaining everything yet to come!

To put it more in perspective

*her hemoglobin level should be at a 12.5 and here’s was a 4.8 in Fallon at the ER. When we got to Reno it had dropped to a 4.4.

*her platelets levels should be at a 150,000 and hers were at a 18,000 that dropped to a 16,000.

*her white blood count should be a 10.5 and hers was and still is at a 34

we have a long road ahead of us ❤️‍

I’m starting this go fund me to help out with any upcoming medical bills. I have absolutely no idea what to expect. Milt and I are self employed and have always been more of a cash pay for everything. I do have medi-share but I have no idea what it will cover and how much.

my momma brain is on overload and I’m doing my best to stay organized and understand all the language being talked about.

Thank you. Everyone for all the prayers and the amazing amount of support. We really do appreciate it!

Kind regards,
The Wallace’s
