Help Leanne Fight Cancer
Donation protected
If you know Leanne, you know that she is always the one caring for others. She gives whatever she can to help family, friends, co-workers or a stranger and she is rarely the one to ask for help herself. She works hard everyday managing a small business that her and her husband have built, working overtime at her job as a manager at McDonalds and being a full time caretaker for her adult brother-in-law Matthew who has developmental differences and medical needs after recovering from a kidney transplant. After sitting by his hospital bed and taking him to many doctors appointments and dialysis treatments, she is now the one who is facing a journey of recovery.
After many months of extreme pain and discomfort, and not having health insurance to visit the doctor, Leanne was recently able to get basic healthcare and see a doctor. The doctors found many tumors growing on her ovaries and Leanne spent weeks getting testing to find the source of the tumors. The pain became unbearable and she was rushed into emergency surgery. Unfortunately, the surgeon found more tumors than they originally thought. They were able to remove some and Leanne was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. She is currently going through chemo therapy and is unable to work. If they can shrink the tumors, she will go in for another surgery. Leanne is a fighter and she will get through this but she will likely not be able to work for some time while she is doing chemotherapy and recovering from surgery. Without her income, daily bills are piling up and medical bills are adding to that pile. She has already found out that one medication needed will cost $500.
If you are able to contribute any amount to help lessen her burden during this time, to pay medical bills, and to get help to care for Matthew so that she can focus on healing, it is so appreciated. If you are not able, please send your prayers and healing energy her way. She is a strong woman and she has a lot to offer this world, so she’ll be fighting for it.
