Leanne Battles Stage 4 Breast Cancer

About a year ago, my niece Leanne found out the unimaginable. At just 40 years old and with two small children, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Although devastated, with so much to live for, she jumped right in, eager to fight this battle. Along with her doctor-advised treatments, she cleaned up her diet-eliminating meat and sugar, began acupuncture, supplements, smoothies…she was to try anything. She has continued working in-between all of this. Clear scans after 4 months of treatments! It seemed like a miracle.
 

Unfortunately, earlier this week, she received another blow. After weeks of headaches and just feeling out of sorts, they performed an MRI, which showed the cancer had spread to her brain. Now, less than a week after receiving this news, she was admitted to the hospital to have a shunt placed to drain fluid from the brain. Next steps include radiation and exploration of other possible medical alternatives. The next few weeks of doctor's appointments will hopefully give her answers… “I am not giving up this fight, I am going to get back on track and do everything I can to beat this disease and heal my body… I need to see my little boys grow up and I refuse to settle for anything less”

Leanne, Aaron, and their son’s Jameson (3) and Jackson (2) could use as much support as they can get. They have a long road ahead. So, we are creating this fund to help alleviate as much of the financial burden as possible and focus on the most important thing, Leanne’s health!
