My name is Leanna Mouton and I am a sophomore at Texas State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Communication Studies. I am heavily involved in extracurricular activities on campus and also my work study position as a Student Desk worker for the Department of Housing and Residential life. I invest my time in working, volunteering, and expanding my horizons through attending cultural events across the State in order to gain the skills and build the networks that I need to accomplish my big dreams.
I am thrilled to have been offered this prestigious opportunity to compete in the Miss Kemah Pageant this June. This title brings upon countless opportunities to develop my interpersonal skills and confidence through serving as a representative of the pageant for one year, having television appearances, networking, participating in social and official charity events, and obtaining the education, values, and experiences to help me fulfill my future career goals. Beyond all of the exciting prizes and services, the Miss Kemah Titleholder will have the honor to represent the Greater Kemah Area in the MISS TEXAS USA pageant this fall.
All donations will go towards program ads, competition fees, coaching, hair and makeup appointments, travel costs, photography packages, and attire to be exceptional for the 2016 Miss Kemah pageant. The pageant will be held from June 10th to the 12th in Kemah TX. Donations from companies can be 100% tax deductible as advertising expense. Thank you in advance for your continuous love and support!
This opportunity means the world to me because I am learning, communicating, mentoring, networking, and developing those interpersonal and professional skills that will set me apart from other potential employee’s and leaders. It will also provide me the platform and the audience to share my vision and to create an even bigger impact for the special needs community. My big dream is to Franchise the only theme park in the whole entire world that is accessible to people of all ages with special cognitive and physical needs. That theme park is called “Morgan’s Wonderland” and it is located in San Antonio, Texas. I would like to franchise it in as many locations as possible to bring experiences to people beyond their wildest imagination that would have never experienced it otherwise. If you ever are blessed with the experience to see the joy in a mother’s eyes while she pushes her adult handicap child on a swing for the first time ever, you will understand how underrepresented this community is and how they too deserve happiness. I am strong advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and I am working every day to create a world of inclusion, acceptance, opportunity, and friendships for this generation and future generations to come.
I am not just in need of monetary support to accomplish this dream but I’m asking for you to invest in me as a young woman who is pursuing a dream that God has placed in my heart. Thank you in advance for your all of your help, encouraging words and most of all your prayers! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Please share with your friends and family.
