Leah's Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Expenses
Donation protected
Leah was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on December 19th 2018. The doctor team at the Mayo in Rochester is calling this a more difficult case because of the brain involvement. She was diagnosed with 2 kinds of lymphoma, Stage IV Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma and Marginal Zone Lymphoma. They have reassured Leah that it is treatable.
Leah is a young single woman who has worked hard since she was 14, got her Bachelor’s Degree, overcame many challenges since being diagnosed with bipolar in 2006 and never groveled for anyone to take care of her. Overall, Leah is doing ok and working on her online schooling to become a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in 2020. Unfortunately, through this process, the doctors have told Leah that she will not be able to work again for at least one year.
She started chemotherapy on January 8th and will continue for 6 cycles until the middle or end of May 2019. She will have 6-day treatments and 6 hospital stay treatments (12 chemo treatments) They are called MR-CHOP, chemo treatments. We are so very thankful that Leah made it to the Mayo in Rochester through the medical system! Her doctor team have been on top of every little situation and keeping a very close eye on her treatments and recovery of each treatment.
Thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers for Leah as she goes through this crazy thing called cancer. We thank you and appreciate all of you so very much!
