This is Leah's mom. We are raising money for travel expenses, hotel stays, food and any financial hardships that may arise. Leah is has been remission of acute myeloid leukemia and bone marrow transplant for the past five years. Starting in 2023 she started having issues with her breathing, it was thought to be asthma but continued to get worse and she kept getting pneumonia. She ended up hospitalized a couple of times and her breathing has gotten to a point that she has a hard time with walking long distances and doing physical activities. She was referred back to Boston where it has recently been discovered that she has chronic graft versus host disease in her lungs. She is having to take a bunch of new meds in hopes that they will help stop the gvhd to avoid lung transplant. We are having to travel back and forth to Boston for her care quite often. She has a lot of specialists she's seeing. Unfortunately lung transplant is a bigger possibility than we want it to be. If you can't donate just sending prayers works to. Thank you all.
