Hi there, I am fundraising for my wonderful sister Leah and an important next step in her healing and recovery.

As many of you will know, Leah has been living with alveolar soft part sarcoma for almost ten years now. She has been through numerous cancer treatments; surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and countless appointments, scans and tests. Those of you who know her, will know she has faced all of this with incredible courage, positivity and hope. Despite her determination, the medical options available so far have not brought the results we all hoped for.

Recently, after receiving some difficult news about her latest test results, and with much consideration, she has made the brave decision to explore an alternative option focused on holistic practices that support healing through mind-body recovery.

She is hoping to attend a Healing Retreat in California, run by Dr Joe Dispenza. This programme combines neuroscience and holistic practices like meditation to help people activate their body’s natural ability to heal.

This retreat also will give Leah a chance to take a much needed break away, to rest and be restored after years of giving her all to treatments and recovery. It will allow her to reconnect with hope, build her strength, and explore healing in a supportive, transformative environment. Leah, Chris and our family believe this could make a real difference for her emotional and physical wellbeing.

To make this possible, we’re hoping to raise €10,000 in total. This will cover:

• The retreat programme fee

• Flights and accommodation for Leah and our mum (who will travel with her to support her)

• Travel insurance and other essentials

Our immediate goal is €4,500 which will allow us to secure Leah’s place at the retreat, which is filling up quickly.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Leah this chance to heal and regain strength.

We are aiming to raise €10,000 to ensure Leah can attend and fully enter into the retreat. Any additional funds raised beyond the crucial €10,000 will go towards ensuring Leah can continue to engage in holistic and therapeutic treatments when she returns home. We will keep the campaign open until the 15th of December, the day Leah will return home from the retreat.
