Leah Clark Medical Expenses and Bills

Donation protected
On October 23, 2022, while on vacation in Orlando, Florida my sister Leah Clark became very ill from a preexisting condition, Diverticulitis.

She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. She spent the next 6 days in the ICU on a ventilator. Leah is improving and off the ventilator but is still in the ICU.
Hopefully in a few days she will be transferred to a “normal” hospital room. The doctors are expecting her to be in the hospital for at least a week after leaving the ICU. There is a good chance of her having to go to rehabilitation once she is discharged from the hospital.
It is currently unknown how long her stay and the hospital and possible rehabilitation will be. It will most likely be a few weeks before she can return home to Texas.

Once she is able to return home to Texas she will still have a long recovery time before she will be able to return to work.

Leah is loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend and dog mom. Everyone that knows her will attest to that she is one of the most selfless, positive and caring individuals they have met.

Leah is also a dedicated and devoted teacher who has spent the past 22 years teaching K-5 at Northside Independent School District. She loves every child she has ever taught as if there were her own.

Any donation made will be used to help pay Leah’s medical expenses. We appreciate everyone’s love and support they have shown this past week and cannot express enough how grateful we have been.

As you can see in the attached picture taken days before her vacation with some beautiful flowers she received for birthday, she is a young, beautiful, happy and healthy person.
