Leah and Jamie Champagne to Pan American Games

Jamie and Leah Champagne, a mother and daughter duo from Tipp City, OH, who compete with Meng’s Martial Arts HQ in Huber Heights, OH will be traveling to compete with Team USA on 3-7 August 2023, at the 4th Pan American Kungfu and Taijiquan Championships in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). This competition is special due to this being the first time that they have both qualified to compete at an international tournament. Leah has been participating in Sanda and Mai San Jong, both which are contact sports, and forms on Meng’s Martial Arts Tiger Team for 2 years (located in Huber Heights, OH) and Jamie has been participating on the Wing Chun Competition Team for 2 years in Chi Sao, forms and this year she will be taking up the traditional Wing Chun Weapon of Luk Dim Boon Gun (6 ½ Point Pole). This is a unique opportunity for them to be in competition on Team USA right at the beginning of this growing sport within the United States. Competition in sports within the United States is completely self funded and any help will be greatly appreciated to cover the cost of travel, lodging, and uniforms for this competition. Funds for this trip are to be split evenly between the two athletes.
