Lucas Austin's Lead With Your Heart

In November 2014, the world lost one of it's brightest and most joyous spirits. Lucas Austin was 29.
Not long before he passed, Lucas started a project with his longtime partner Jill, called "Lead With Your Heart". Initially a name under which they could perform Tango and raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association, Luc wanted to use LWYH as a vehicle to showcase his passion for the arts and to raise awarness about mental health.
After his passing, Luc's family and close friends are determined to honor his memory by continuing to grow the seed that he planted. Our long term goal is to establish a charity, "Lead With You Heart- for Mental Health." We aim to preserve his legacy by celebrating the arts, exploration, innovation and diversity while promoting positive mental attitudes. With the funds raised, we aim to provide scholarships for students of the arts, and provide alternative, creative therapy for people suffering from mental health and addiction. It is our belief that by raising funds for programs, communities, and students, we will be doing a fraction of the positive work that Lucas would have accomplished.
On October 10, 2015 we will be celebrating Lucas' life and the creation of Lead With Your Heart with our first annual fundraising event, The PMAS (Positive Mental Attitude Show) at the Holiday Inn, Truro, NS. The Mellotones will be the headliner, along with tango performances and variety show. The evening with kick-off with an open jam session. We hope to se you there!
