Sarah Abel is a wonderful 21-year old woman who was born with two things that makes her different from those around her. The first is her extremely caring heart. Even from a young age she was always caring for those around her. The first job where she truly found her calling was working in a assisted living, and behavioral services center. Helping the elderly, as well as working with those with special needs. This job helped her to realise she wanted to live a life where she could help those who needed it most. Before her parents even knew what was happening she had signed up to do college courses alongside her high school work, all in the hopes of getting a degree in special needs. Today she still works in this field, helping enrich the lives of children with special needs. A job that is sometimes made hard by the second thing that sets her apart from others. She is missing half of her left arm. Born with a congenital defect which has shortened her left arm, she has sadly had to undergo several surgeries which has led to her being a trans radial amputee. While she is able to do basic things with the partially amputated arm the phantom pains, as well as the loss of function is a constant struggle for her. She dreams of being able to go rock climbing with her friends, to pick up and carry around her two large dogs as they both love being held. The way we would be going about helping her to achieve this goal is by getting her a prosthetic, the more we are able to gather, the better prosthetic we can get her. Sarah Abel is a very kind person, and always does her best to help those around her now it's our time to help her, so will you lend her a hand?
