We have been operating a seasonal bed and breakfast guesthouse and gites complex since 2004 and are approaching all our friends, family and clients who know us and how hard we have worked to make our business a success. We have tried to ensure that for anyone that has stayed with us that their experience is a positive and enjoyable one and so it is those people we are approaching who know us and our hospitality for help.
As you will now all be aware, the tourist sector in the Dordogne has been devasted by the corona virus. We have lost all of our business for the next three months and are unsure of how soon we will see normal levels of visitors. This means that our cash-flow and monthly outgoing can not be met indefinitely without income from reservations coming in and people staying with us.
We hope to recover in the long term but our short and mid term future is very precarious.
We have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and offers of financial aid from our guests so we have decided to set up this gofundme page with the hope that your memories of Le Chevrefeuille and CookDordogne, the experiences you have had with us will prompt you to think about donating something to enable us to continue funding essential business costs and living costs for the family over this uncertain period. This money will be transferred to our business bank account in the name of Ian Fisk where this money will be used to meet all our day to day essential costs, for an interim period until we again receive demand for our accommodation.
