It is heartbreaking to read a tragic tale of a Tigraweyti mother of five children who committed suicide 5 years ago in the outskirt of Mekelle city (Enderta area, Tigray) after her land was illegally confiscated and also publicly humiliated by the culprits. The utter humiliation, which included slapping her across the face while she was trying to get her land back legally, was unbearable and eventually took her life. This experience has left her family in a difficult situation and the objective of this fundraising is to help them re-establish their lives. Rest in peace to  mama Amakelech.
