Hi to all who know and love Dave Marisi,

As you may know in September 2021, Dave had a tough diagnosis due to complications from his diabetes. The medical term is called, peripheral nephropathy. Patients start to lose feeling in the feet and toes due to damage to the nerves. Dave was following doctors orders: exercising, dieting, and beginning dialysis, but something just did not seem right. He began having horrible pain in his feet and toes. In October he contracted an infection in his right big toe. Under the care of a great medical team, who tried everything to save Dave's right toe and foot, made the tough decision to amputate to stop the infection. Sadly by the end of the week the infection had travelled to his ankle and half way up his leg. To really save his life, the medical team decided to fully amputate Dave's right leg just below the knee. As you could imagine, this took a toll on David himself, Debby his wife of 34 years, Stephanie, his oldest daughter and her husband David, Allison his youngest daughter and the love of his life (besides those mentioned) his first grandchild. As well as his loving mother Peggy and his two sisters, Debbie and Margaret, and his Brother- in- law, Peter. Plus all his extended family,nephews, cousins, friends, coworkers, neighbors and all who loved him. Mind you Dave is only 60 years old and has a lot of living to do. Now his life is forever changed and he needs the support from you all, that he himself would never ask for. Donations will go to his unpaid medical bills, a motorized wheelchair, his prosthetics, medications, physical therapy and hopefully a new handicapped accessible van that Dave, himself, will be able to drive. Dave always has been a giver to all who know him. From moving furniture (bodies), to being a chaperone for his great cousin's sweet sixteen party, Dave always said of course, "YES!" It is now our turn to say "YES" to him and thank him for all he has given to those who know him (and even those who do not). Thank you in advance from the bottom of all our hearts for all your donations.
