LBT Earthquake Survivors in Nepal
Donation protected
I am a Victoria, Canada-based graduate student working on resilience of LGBT people in disasters. I was introduced to a small NGO (Inclusive Forum Nepal) serving lesbian, bisexual, and transgender survivors of the 2015 earthquakes in Nepal. Their offices were heavily damaged in the quake and their government won't help them rebuild. They have spent weeks in a tent city and recently moved to a temporary office where they are struggling to support their fellow LBT survivors, a group of people who routinely fall through the cracks of both funding and public awareness when disasters strike. All of the funds we raise here (minus the gofundme fees) will go directly to helping them buy basic supplies, such as groceries and water, things that they desperately need. Even a small donation will go a long way. Thank you for your help and please watch the short documentary by Nicola Desouza.
