We are Lazy Daughter, a four-piece indie rock band from Ventura County. In Lazy Daughter, we proudly run on DIY determination. We are thrilled that our debut album, Where the Time Goes, launches October 23, 2026, but it comes at significant financial investment for the members. This fundraiser's goal is threefold:

1) Recouping some of the costs of creating the album

2) Offsetting the expense of the album release party

3) Promoting the album and printing physical media

The band is inspired by nostalgia and subversive play to write music that reflects their raw emotions and lived experiences. Our sound is evocative of an eclectic blend of artists from the Tedeschi Trucks Band, to Nirvana, Patsy Cline, and CSNY. Seeing Lazy Daughter live promises folksy three-part harmonies and upright bass-driven rhythm, punctuated by soulful, blues-informed guitar solos. Our original music draws on our members' lived experiences with heavy themes of intersectional feminism and queer identity, as well as references to art history and complex emotions.
