Lazer's High Adventure at Philmont Scout Ranch!

My name is Amanda asking for your help in sending my teenage son, Lazer, to Philmont Scout Ranch, BSA's premier High Adventure™ base. Lazer has been participating in BSA Scouting for almost 10 years, and is currently a Life Scout, one rank from earning Eagle Rank.

This High Adventure Trek is scheduled for summer 2024 and will include a 12 day backpacking trek, offering an opportunity to hike 50-120 miles in the backcountry of New Mexico's rugged northern wilderness. Lazer will also have the opportunity to participate in conservation work while at Philmont. This is a fantastic opportunity for Lazer to grow as a Scout, flourish as a leader, and discover the extent of his young character.

The cost of this amazing trek is $1250 plus transportation to/from Virginia and New Mexico, as well as his high adventure gear. I ask for your assistance because in addition to funding Lazer's trip, we will be funding Travis, Lazer's stepdad, as well, as he will be one of the required adult chaperones. This doubles our family's total payout for registration, transportation, and gear!
